Working with Jim has been a game changer for me. I’m down 2 inches on my waist, 25-50% stronger on major lifts, 1 club better in my golf game, and I just feel better. And, his online training approach is exactly what I needed to accommodate my busy schedule – I can get a workout in at any time of day or night, all of the exercises come with instructional videos and clear written explanations, and I can easily track progress – all right from my phone. Aside from that, working with Jim is a pleasure. He keeps track of how I’m doing, provides encouragement and exercise instruction whenever needed, and pushes me to work hard within the boundaries of what I’m capable of at any point in time. Jim is the Bill Belichick of personal training. He constructs exercise regimens uniquely tailored for you. He developed a whole-body workout program for me combing cardio, muscle tone and core strength. His programs are progressive, evolving each month with new exercises that build off the prior month. From the beginning Jim was patient, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. He created several detailed workouts with video and specific instructions of how to do each one. He explained the reasons why he combined certain exercises for me and showed me the proper pace and form (both important) for each one! This was truly refreshing! In the past other trainers would spend that one hour with me but NO follow up written instructions nor guidance to set me out there to try on my own! Jim’s approach was completely opposite to this. He believes in teaching his clients and giving them the tools and knowledge so they can be set free on their own. And the best part was Jim did not give up on me when I faltered a bit from bouts of laziness - he is excellent at communicating and checking in as well as sending me new routines as time passed - he is a true motivator and supporter in his field!! There are three things Jim brings to the table for my training regimen: 1) Motivation - I can use the app to track my progress which gives me the push me to get to the gym even when I may not be feeling it that day. I also know Jim is monitoring my workouts, 2) Tailored workout sessions - Jim designs monthly workouts for me to meet my goals and can work around preferences to help me meet my goals, and 3) Feedback and Counsel - every new session comes with instructional videos and Jim is a phone call away to answer questions or send a little inspiration. Working with Jim on a fitness plan has been great. I’m on my third circuit set and have already seen a noticeable difference with weight loss and additional upper body strength which truly propels you to work harder and is very motivating. Jim is also very passionate about what he does and in to his own fitness. He is so generous with his time and is always available making sure your form is correct to maximize results. He also tailors the plan specific to your goals and does a great job explaining the background and method to the madness. Finally, his app is simple to use and makes tracking results easy while also providing short video clips to help support proper form.
